In this introductory swim lesson clinic for competitive athletes, students will continue to fine tune all four competitive strokes along with the appropriate turns that go with them.
Skills Taught: Learning to use the pace clock, swimming each stroke for at least 2 laps, understanding the fundamentals of a swim workout, flip and open turns, drills, and various training techniques.
Speed and endurance is the main focus in this swim lesson clinic. Swimming longer distances in shorter periods of time is key in this group. While still working on technique for all competitive strokes, this group will start to learn more about pacing and interval training.
Skills Taught: Swimming for time, Individual Medley transitions, reading and understanding swim workouts as written by a coach, using a pace clock, understands drills and various training techniques.
