Lesson Information at LA Fitness

Lessons are held in our indoor heated pool in LA Fitness.
Enter through the door to the right of the main entrance.
A poolside viewing area is available for parents and guardians.
Parents or guardians must remain on the pool deck during lessons. Swim lessons are not a drop-off activity.
Children under 3 years old must wear two swim diapers: one disposable diaper underneath and one reusable swim diaper over it. All children will be checked before entering the pool.
Please bring a towel, goggles, and a swim cap if hair is longer than shoulder length.
Showers and changing pods are available on the pool deck. Please arrive in your swim attire. Locker rooms are not available for use.
LA Fitness membership is not required to register for lessons.
The hot tub may not be used before, during, or after lessons.
Instructor assignments may change due to illness, vacation, or other scheduling needs.
Most sessions run 7–8 weeks, with one lesson per week. Session length may vary by season.

Make-up Policy

Makeup lessons are offered based on availability.
We do not provide refunds for missed lessons.
If Hudson Valley Swim cancels a class, it will be rescheduled during the designated makeup week following the session.
If you are unable to continue attending lessons, please notify us as early as possible. When advance notice is provided, we may be able to issue an account credit for the unused portion of your tuition. Credits cannot be issued after missed lessons or if you stop attending without prior notice, as your reserved class spot could have been filled by another swimmer.

Bad Weather Procedure

In the event of severe weather, including thunderstorms, please call our office at (727) 435-8435 for the latest updates.

If lessons are canceled, we will notify families via email and text message, provided your account is set up to receive communications.
